The Tanga City Council, under the Office of the City Director, is pleased to announce new teaching job opportunities for qualified and passionate teachers to work in Government English Medium Schools within Tanga City.
This recruitment targets teachers for Primary, Secondary (O-Level), and Advanced Level (A-Level) classes. Both employed and unemployed teachers are encouraged to apply.

🎓 Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Possess at least one of the following academic qualifications:
Diploma
Bachelor’s Degree
Master’s Degree
Must be able to pass both written and oral interviews
Teachers who have previously worked within Tanga City Council or those who are residents of Tanga City are highly encouraged to apply
📝 Important Information
Applicants will be assessed based on the subjects they teach
Teachers already working in English Medium Schools, including Government English Medium Schools in Tanga City, will be exempted from interview fees
Other applicants are required to pay a non-refundable interview fee of TZS 10,000
All available positions are office-based
Interviews will be conducted on Friday, 10th January 2026
